Dr. Andrea Tee - Principal

Dr. Andrea Tee is an experienced educational leader who has served students across the K–12 spectrum and is deeply committed to academic excellence and whole-child development. She believes students thrive when schools provide both high expectations and high support, creating learning communities where every child is known, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Dr. Tee has lived in several states across the country and now proudly calls Las Vegas home. She enjoys gardening, arts and crafts, and spending time with her Yorkshire Terrier, Bear. Dr. Tee looks forward to partnering with the families of AMS Nellis to help ensure every young scholar has the opportunity and the support needed to achieve their dreams.

Contact Assistant Principal McCloud

Shivaun McCloud, a seasoned veteran of public schools, has spent her career as a passionate advocate for underrepresented children and their families. Her wealth of experience spans three decades and includes roles as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, parent educator, and principal. Mrs. McCloud is committed to fostering an environment where students develop not only strong academic skills but also the confidence, resilience, and critical-thinking abilities needed to become tomorrow’s leaders and global visionaries.

As AMS Nellis opens its doors to the Las Vegas community, Mrs. McCloud is excited to build meaningful relationships with families, community organizations, and local partners. She believes that education is a shared responsibility and that schools are strongest when they work collaboratively with the communities they serve. Her goal is to create a welcoming school environment where families are active partners in their children's education and where every student has access to the resources, opportunities, and support necessary for long-term success.

Mrs. McCloud is also a proud parent of four adult children. She has lived in Las Vegas since 2018 with her husband and her 3 dogs. Mrs. McCloud is honored to be part of the founding leadership team at AMS Nellis and looks forward to partnering with students, families, staff, and the community to build a culture of excellence, belonging, and achievement for all.
